हरदोई। उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ जहां एक ओर अपराधियों के खिलाफ ‘जीरो टॉलरेंस’ की नीति अपना रहे हैं, वहीं हरदोई जिले की मल्लावां कोतवाली पुलिस सरकार की साख को बट्टा लगाने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ रही है। मल्लावां पुलिस की घोर लापरवाही का एक और ताजा मामला सामने आया है, जहां समय रहते सूचना देने के बावजूद पुलिस ने एक बुजुर्ग की जान बचाने की जहमत नहीं उठाई।
घटना मल्लावां थाना क्षेत्र के गंगारामपुर की है। गांव के निवासी बुजुर्ग प्रमोद कुमार जब अपनी गाय को चारा देने गए थे, तभी दबंगों ने उन पर जानलेवा हमला कर दिया। प्रमोद कुमार का आरोप है कि घटना से पहले ही जब दबंग हथियारों के साथ उन्हें मारने की नीयत से घात लगाए बैठे थे, तब उन्होंने इसकी सूचना मल्लावां इंस्पेक्टर के सरकारी (CUG) नंबर पर दी थी। सुरक्षा मांगने के बजाय इंस्पेक्टर ने यह कहकर पल्ला झाड़ लिया कि ‘डायल 112 पर फोन करो’। पीड़ित के पास इस बातचीत की रिकॉर्डिंग भी मौजूद है।

पुलिस की इसी निष्क्रियता का फायदा उठाकर दबंगों ने बुजुर्ग पर हमला कर दिया। हमले में प्रमोद कुमार को गंभीर चोटें आईं और उन्हें दर्जनों टांके लगे हैं। हालत बिगड़ने पर उन्हें जिला अस्पताल हरदोई ले जाया गया, जहां से डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें बेहतर इलाज के लिए लखनऊ के मेडिकल कॉलेज रेफर कर दिया है।
आपको ज्ञात हो कि 13 अप्रैल को मल्लावां कोतवाली क्षेत्र में ही शिल्पी कुशवाहा हत्याकांड हुआ था, जिसने पूरे क्षेत्र को दहला दिया था। उस वक्त भी पुलिस की कार्यशैली पर गंभीर सवाल उठे थे। बावजूद इसके, मल्लावां पुलिस सुधरने का नाम नहीं ले रही है।
मल्लावां इंस्पेक्टर द्वारा किसी बड़ी घटना का इंतजार करना और समय पर मदद न भेजना उनकी कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगाता है। क्षेत्र की जनता में इस बात को लेकर भारी आक्रोश है कि आखिर क्यों ऐसे संवेदनहीन अधिकारियों को जनता की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। अब देखना यह है कि क्या उच्चाधिकारी इस ‘घोर लापरवाही’ का संज्ञान लेते हुए दोषी दरोगा को लाइन हाजिर करेंगे या फिर इसी तरह पुलिस की सरपरस्ती में दबंगों के हौसले बुलंद रहेंगे।
