मुख्यमंत्री से मुलाकात के बाद एनसीपी नेता प्रफुल्ल पटेल ने मीडिया से बातचीत में कहा कि जनभावनाओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए सरकार को जल्द फैसला लेना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि अजित पवार से जुड़े पोर्टफोलियो और एनसीपी के भविष्य को लेकर किसी भी तरह की असमंजस की स्थिति नहीं होनी चाहिए।

एनसीपी के वरिष्ठ नेताओं का कहना है कि जिला परिषद और पंचायत समिति चुनाव के बाद विलय की घोषणा की योजना थी। विलय होने की स्थिति में पार्टी के पास 9 लोकसभा सांसद और 51 विधायक होंगे, जिससे महाराष्ट्र की राजनीति का गणित बदल सकता है।
