उत्तर प्रदेश के वृंदावन में बांके बिहारी मंदिर के दानपात्रों से करीब ₹10 लाख चुराने के आरोप में कैनरा बैंक के एक अधिकारी को शनिवार को गिरफ्तार किया गया। सीसीटीवी फुटेज में उसे अपने कपड़ों में नकदी के बंडल छिपाते हुए दिखाया गया था, जिसके बाद उसे गिरफ्तार किया गया।आरोपी की पहचान यूपी के रामपुर निवासी अभिनव सक्सेना के रूप में हुई है।

आरोपी की पहचान यूपी के रामपुर निवासी अभिनव सक्सेना के रूप में हुई है। उसे कथित तौर पर दानपात्रों की मासिक गिनती के दौरान रंगे हाथों पकड़ा गया था।पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी (सदर) संदीप कुमार ने कहा, “अभिनव सक्सेना, साकेत सक्सेना का बेटा और रामपुर, यूपी का निवासी, जो वर्तमान में मथुरा में रहता है, को शनिवार को 16 संग्रह बक्सों से दान की मासिक गिनती के दौरान रंगे हाथों पकड़ा गया
।”मंदिर की सुरक्षा टीम ने गिनती के दौरान पाया कि केनरा बैंक की मथुरा शाखा का अधिकारी 500 और 200 रुपये के नोटों की गड्डियाँ छिपा रहा था। उन्होंने पुलिस को बुलाया, जिसने गवाहों के सामने आरोपी की तलाशी ली और 1,28,600 रुपये बरामद किए। बाद में पूछताछ के दौरान उसने कबूल किया कि उसने गिनती के पिछले दो दिनों के दौरान 8,55,300 रुपये चुराए थे। मथुरा के अशोका सिटी में उसके घर से पैसे बरामद किए गए।
