पुलिस ने रविवार को बताया कि स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (STF) की नोएडा इकाई ने NEET-UG अभ्यर्थियों से परीक्षा पास कराने के लिए कथित तौर पर पैसे मांगने वाले गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि मामले में तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। आरोपियों की पहचान विक्रम कुमार साहू, 30, धर्मपाल सिंह और अनिकेत के रूप में हुई है, जो सभी दिल्ली के निवासी हैं।
“नोएडा एसटीएफ इकाई ने NEET-UG परीक्षा पास करने में मदद करने के बहाने छात्रों को धोखा देने वाले एक गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ किया है। उन्होंने उम्मीदवारों के रिश्तेदारों या परिवार के सदस्यों से पैसे मांगे,” एसटीएफ, नोएडा के अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक (एएसपी), राज कुमार मिश्रा ने कहा। पूछताछ के दौरान, साहू ने पुलिस को बताया कि उसे 2011 में चेन्नई में विनायक मिशन विश्वविद्यालय में बायोटेक्नोलॉजी कार्यक्रम में भर्ती कराया गया था।
“विक्रम और अनिकेत 30 प्रतिशत कमीशन के बदले छात्रों को विनायक मिशन विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश दिलाने में मदद कर रहे थे। विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातकोत्तर की पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद, विक्रम दिल्ली चला गया, जहाँ उसकी मुलाकात धर्मपाल सिंह से हुई,” अधिकारी ने कहा। आरोपी ने ‘एडमिशन व्यू’ नाम से एक कंपनी बनाई थी और एमबीबीएस उम्मीदवारों का डेटा एकत्र किया था, जिसका उपयोग कॉलेज में प्रवेश पाने के झूठे वादों के साथ उनसे संपर्क करने के लिए किया जाता था।
पुलिस के अनुसार, उन्होंने सीट की व्यवस्था करने के बहाने प्रत्येक उम्मीदवार से 5 लाख रुपये मांगे और फिर पैसे लेकर फरार हो गए। 2023 में उनके खिलाफ कई शिकायतें दर्ज होने के बाद, उन्होंने कथित तौर पर श्रेयानवी ईडीयू ओपीसी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड नामक एक नई फर्म की स्थापना की और इसी तरह की धोखाधड़ी गतिविधियों को अंजाम देना जारी रखा।
