पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाजा मुहम्मद आसिफ ने पहलगाम आतंकी हमले को लेकर तनाव के बीच भारत द्वारा सैन्य अभियान शुरू करने के बारे में बड़ा दावा किया है। सोमवार को यह बयान ऐसे समय में आया है जब पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के बाद दोनों परमाणु संपन्न पड़ोसियों के बीच तनाव चरम पर है। इस हमले में 25 भारतीयों सहित 26 लोग मारे गए थे।
पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार मंत्री ने इस्लामाबाद में संवाददाताओं से कहा, “ऐसी खबरें हैं कि भारत नियंत्रण रेखा पर किसी भी बिंदु पर हमला कर सकता है। नई दिल्ली को इसका मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया जाएगा।” आसिफ ने यह भी कहा कि पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने पहलगाम हमले की अंतरराष्ट्रीय जांच की मांग की है।
आसिफ ने कहा, “इस तरह की जांच से यह पता चल जाएगा कि भारत खुद या कोई आंतरिक समूह इसमें शामिल था या नहीं और नई दिल्ली के निराधार आरोपों के पीछे की सच्चाई स्पष्ट हो जाएगी।” यह पहली बार नहीं है कि पाकिस्तान के किसी संघीय मंत्री ने कहा है कि पहलगाम हमले के बाद भारत की ओर से सैन्य कार्रवाई आसन्न है। देश के सूचना मंत्री अत्ता तरार ने पिछले सप्ताह कहा था कि भारत द्वारा संभावित हमले की आशंका के चलते 24-36 घंटे महत्वपूर्ण हैं। हालांकि, समय बीत गया और नई दिल्ली द्वारा कोई कार्रवाई शुरू नहीं की गई।
इस बीच, पाकिस्तान के सेना प्रमुख जनरल सैयद असीम मुनीर ने सोमवार को “अपने लोगों की राष्ट्रीय प्रतिष्ठा और समृद्धि” की रक्षा के लिए पूरी ताकत से जवाब देने के अपने इरादे को दोहराया। पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के बाद भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच तनाव 22 अप्रैल को पहलगाम में हुए हमले के बाद भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच रिश्ते खराब हो गए हैं, जिसमें 26 लोग मारे गए थे, जिनमें से ज़्यादातर पर्यटक थे।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि भारत आतंकवादियों और उनके समर्थकों के खिलाफ़ “दृढ़ और निर्णायक” कार्रवाई करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। मोदी ने शीर्ष रक्षा अधिकारियों से यह भी कहा कि सशस्त्र बलों को हमले के जवाब में भारत की प्रतिक्रिया के तरीके, लक्ष्य और समय पर निर्णय लेने की “पूर्ण परिचालन स्वतंत्रता” है।
